The Building Inspection Office is located at City Hall, 110 N. Chamberlain Avenue. The office is responsible for plan review, permit processing, and inspections for construction and development projects within the City of Rockwood.

Permit Information

Permits must be applied for in person during regular business hours or online by clicking the button “Rockwood Building & Codes Online Portal” above. Applicants must provide:

An estimated cost of the project
A plan showing the proposed project may be required

Plan review and permit processing functions are conducted by the Building Inspector.

Inspections

The Building Inspector is responsible for inspections related to:

Building construction
Plumbing installations
Mechanical installations
Signage
Excavation work

Inspection requests may be made in person at the Building Inspection Office or by phone during regular business hours. A 24-hour advance notice is preferred.
